About Us

History

Texas Tower Public Relations was originally chartered in the late 1960s by Dr. Alan Scott, who also founded the second ever PRSSA chapter in the nation here at the University of Texas at Austin in 1968. Texas Tower began as a part of the Public Relations Campaigns course and was called the High Noon Agency because its members met at high noon in front of the bell tower.

General Information

Texas Tower Public Relations is a fully operational, student-run public relations firm on the University of Texas at Austin campus. Texas Tower was originally chartered by the Alan Scott chapter of PRSSA and still holds strong ties with the organization. The goal of Texas Tower Public Relations is to provide students with hands-on experience in the field of public relations, while at the same time providing quality public relations work for Austin-area non-profits. Any registered student at the University of Texas at Austin is welcome to join Texas Tower, and we strongly encourage joining PRSSA as well, as the organizations offer different, but equally important, career opportunities. For more information be sure to check out our blog, as well as the rest of this site.

Texas Tower has finished its restructuring process and is focusing entirely on client work and member development. We are looking to add one or two new clients to our repetoire, depending on account size. If you need help with your public relations campaigns, feel free to contact us here.
